They were truely ****e. Im made up with the result but we wasnt really blitzing them.

Coutinho's second goal was almost like watching someone walk through a dream, hammers players stepping out of the way, ethereal spirits that vanish before your eyes.

TBF Coutinho is pretty hard to stop when he goes on a run like that. I think we were excellent, intent and agression was there, players stepping up and general good feeling. I'm still nervous as hell about the Boro game though.

That formation and the personnel which played in it gives Klopp a proper alternative. Having two central strikers gives one of Coutinho or Firmino the option to look up and play a forward pass. With them either side of a centre forward, they vacate their space to go deep and get on the ball, which means we need more from our fullbacks to fill that space.

it used to do my head in that Brendan never really played it the season after we nearly won the league.

We don't really have wide players (Mane being the exception but he would be just as suited to playing in a front 2 of a diamond) so for me this formation suits us perfectly.
