Yep, closed his twitter account because of all the abuse for conceding the pen.

He didn’t play his best last night but you could argue he has been up there consistently with our best performers for the last 18 months. He is is in the top 3 left backs in the world and on top of all that he is a down to earth guy who does loads of community service without seeking attention for it.

We are lucky to have him and for him to close his twitter account is a reflection on the utter ***** that abuse players on social media. Personally if I were a player I wouldn’t bother with it for situations like this but it’s a sad state of affairs it has come to this.

Agree with all of that. He isn’t all that active on Twitter, seems to be more into Instagram and as with all players seems obliged to comment on each game and thank the fans.

He’s been brilliant since he got into the first team. It wasn’t his best performance last night m, but it wasn’t abysmal.

He’s had a tough few weeks with the National team and now this so I hope he gets lots of morale boosts and hugs from Klopp. I think the guys in our squad seem sound and I’m sure they will rally round him.
