I don't think he shanked it, i think he over-complicated it and tried to place it and got it wrong. It'd been better if he had put his foot through it.

Thats not hard. Since I have been watching back in the mid to late 80s... we have virtually had nothing but **** playing left back. Riise may be the only "good" player (ie one worthy of Liverpool) Jones, Carra and Milner were converted from other places.

        Ablett
        Staunton
        Burrows
        Vennison
        Harkness
        Matteo
        Ziege
        Bjornebye
        Riise
        Traore
        Aurellio
        PFK
        Moreno

Not much quality there. That must be the worst position in our recent history. Even the rightback injury curse aint this bad. Did I miss anyone?

Robertson has not played 12 months in the first team yet, and he already tops that list.

        He can only get better.

Arbeloa was good there for us, even if he was predominantly a right back.

Sounds like you are slagging if Robbo mate.

              Not cool.

                Not my intent.

                On the contrary.

I think he is probably the best I have seen at the club. maybe Markus Babbel during the treble season sticks out as the most impressive.

My point was he hasnt even played a full season yet, and he seems to be the most consistent player in the squad (apart from robot Milner). Massive impact. A complete fullback. What a signing.

He's undoubtedly the best left back we've had at least in my adult lifetime. Amazing really, a Scottish snip from a relegated Hull - just like the old days!
Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

                      That’s alright then.

                      (I was only joshing)

He’s the best LB we’ve had since Alan Kennedy. If Robbo is playing well the opposition may as well give up.

                            Robertson runs him close.

If it were top trumps. Aurélio better at Free Kicks and being made from twiglets.

Robbo ahead in all other areas.

Different style really. Aurelio better technical ability and passer of the ball. Robbo the better runner and physical ability.

Our best two left backs by quite a mile over the last 15 years.
