I’m not biased or anything, and...

...Aurélio was decent - I’ll concede that much Not sure on passing though don’t see Robbo giving the ball away much. Aurélio more considered Robbo more attacking.

Fab A would be no good in a Klopp team.
    Modifying post.

Aurelio was actually great in my opinion, just made of straws. And Robertson is even better, what a deal

Robertson is everything I hoped Jack Robinson would be and he has the lot - in terms of similarities in recent years I’d say Lizerazu.

              Aurellio
              PFK
              Moreno

Not much quality there. That must be the worst position in our recent history. Even the rightback injury curse aint this bad. Did I miss anyone?

Robertson has not played 12 months in the first team yet, and he already tops that list.

              He can only get better.
              Missed out Julian Dickhead

Bjornebye had a hell of a cross on him.

Remember the cross to Ruddock to get a draw at Old Trafford?

                        Oops yeah so it was!

What did you think of Clough as a player by the way?

I'm a huge Andy fan, but Aurelio was a significantly better player. Although he had terrible luck with injuries. Presumably Robertson is going nowhere and will be a better Liverpool player over the course of his career, but Aurelio was something special. I remember that one season for Valencia he scored close to 10 league goals.

Correct. Aurelio had a lot better athleticism in his early career though before the injuries started taking their toll. Him and Agger at the back was a huge luxury, 2 genuinely composed ball playing defenders to build from.

also, when they started the conversation it went like this - no ****ing joke

"what was the name of that lazy bloke we sold to stoke"

"you know, the one we got from blackpool, Scottish lad"

                            His mate - "erm...Charlie brown?"

                              Was he?

                              Than Robetson?

I know we kept being told this at the time, but I dont remember ever seeing these amazing skills athleticism and pasding range. I thought apart from a decent cross and good technique he was pretty average.

                              Stats compared to Jose Enrique

                              Fabio p87 g4 a12
                              Jose p76 g2 a10

I was surprised he had played that many... but I also remember Robinson and PFK were around about the same time, so that he may have look godlike by comparison. [emoji6]
In the beginning, Fowler created the Heaven and the Earth.

Aurelio was a lovely footballer but I do think people remember him as better than he was. I'd take Robertson over him all day to be honest. He just needs to improve his finishing.
