Players who dive or feign injury will face a two-match suspension starting from this season.
Footage from the weekend's fixtures will be reviewed each Monday and any player found guilty of simulation will be banned.
The three-man panel will consist of one former match official, a former manager and an ex-player.
The Football Association will only be able to impose the ban if the panel's decision is a unanimous one.
If a player is found guilty of deciving an official or admits to the charge, the yellow or red card given to the opposing player can be rescinded.
So how do you think they would review the Origi situation? He was obviously fouled, but stayed on his feet, then decided to dive. Would they look at it as two separate incidents and punish him, or look at it as one and let him off?
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

nah he tried to keep on his feet but eventually lost his balance, stonewall pen
I would assume that this would only be applied in cases where a player goes down when there is no contact. I don't see cases where there is contact being reviewed as the decisions would be too difficult to get any consistency.
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.
Okay its my first post in a while now. I used to be under a different name.
Anyway FWIW here are some thoughts from the game last night. Firstly the Bayern game had wetted my appetite, so I was a bit more disappointed with the performance rather than the result (hey its pre season).
Stepping back from the overall performance a few things struck me. I think we have a lot more strength in depth than is made out, If we get a new CB I think we'll be okay. I think Andrew Robertson will prove to be a astute purchase and also TTA starting to look the part bodes well, the competition for the keeper's jersey also looks good so its going to keep Mignolet on his toes. The standout in midfield for me last night was Grujic, yes its early days but I think he has more in his locker than Can, again this will add depth. Up front we are pretty well stocked, my only concern would be Sturridge.
All in all an odd game, but 2 games in 2 days and a very mixed team last night.
My main worry would be Milner as a left back going into the season, yep it worked briefly last year but I think we''l get well and truly found out if he's used on a regular basis.

Origi had a clear touch to unbalance him or delay the shot he was going to get away. Outside the area the ref would have pulled play back if no advantage was gained by staying on his feet. No way would this have been a unanimous decision of a dive.

It wasn't a pen. It's a contact sport. It wasn't deliberate, slightly unbalanced him and he goes down like a clown 20 seconds later. That would never be given 20 years ago. Earning pens for minimal contact is rubbish. Ruins the game imo. Would I ban him? No. It was too **** an effort at diving to warrant it. It was a player that struggles to stay uptight at the best of times. He's awkward and like heskey, spends a lot of time on his arse.
Always borrow money from a pessimist. He won’t expect it back. Oscar Wilde
no argument, stating an opinion. Never been a fan of penalties being given when forwards are looking for them. I'd like to see the amount of pens awarded cut by a third.
