Would be happy to see us line up that way, but I still expect Milner to start LB and Can will probably play ahead of Gini.

I think Labour Red made a good point about Can, that there isn't much between him and Gini, but he might be getting preferential treatment until the contract situation is sorted.
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

i think Can can cover for Henderson but Gini can't.......for that reason i would make Can a slightly better option.

It is annoying that we haven't heard about Can getting a new contract..... the Keita and VVD transfer no-shows have been frustrating but not getting Emre Can signed up for another 5 years is even more of a **** up

I'll be very surprised if Gini gets the start at Can's expense. Neither have done anything wrong in preseason but Klopp could be excused for showing Can preferential treatment until the contract is signed.

Moreno has looked like a massive improvement on last season, but two games do not make a swallow. Wouldn't surprise me to see Milner there again, or at right back ahead of TTTAA

July 15 v AFC Wimbledon, Cherry Red Records Stadium – 2-3 – Watson (Holebas assist), Berghuis (Dja Djédjé assist)

July 18 v Viktoria Plzen, TBC, Austria – 1-0 – Okaka (Hughes assist)

July 22 v SD Eibar, TBC, Austria – 1-0 – Capoue (Success assist)

            July 26 v Rangers, – 1-2 – Okaka (Chalobah assist)

            July 29 v Aston Villa, Villa Park – 0-0

            August 5 v Real Sociedad, Vicarage Road – 0-0

Not the most impressive pre-season for Watford. They are clearly struggling for goals, although as expected Silva has them very tight at the back. Deeney will still be out for our game, meaning Okaka will start up top, so we really shouldn’t be troubled too much defensively by them. Probably a blessing in disguise that this is at VR. We might struggle to break them down initially and at Anfield the fans might have got frustrated, but away form home this should be less of an issue.

If we get a goal before half-time, I fancy us to go on and win 3 or 4 nil.

Saw that alright..... it's just in the main stand where all the food stalls are. Think the price includes a curry or a burger......

Camp and Furnace might be a better bet if you are in Liverpool

Reckon we will win this one nil. 3 points on the board, onto the next one.

Sturridge is apparently out of this one. Is it still from that Bayern sprint? I thought it wasn't supposed to be serious.
Lallana, Clyne, Coutinho and Ings (???) also injured.

Markovic & Sakho shown the door.

More than good enough for Watford, but at the same time it's so obvious how badly this team needs new signings, just look at the possible bench:

Karius, Gomez or Klavan, Robertson, Milner or Moreno, Grujic, Kent or Woodburn, Solanke or Origi.

Those are all the players (and Flanagan) currently available to us, and the season hasn't even started. There's nobody on that bench that you could rely on to come on and change the game in our favor, plus the starting 11 is missing Coutinho and some reliable defenders.

I'm certain we'll beat Watford by a few goals, but I don't think even two new signings would be enough if we want to be a serious contender in all competitions.

Yeah, we could use another CM and another CB at least.

Why does everyone think this is an easy win for us? Isn't their manager that guy who hasn't lost a home game in three years or something?
