I agree with Carragher. One player isn't helping us. We're fundamentally flawed in how we set up. VVD would help of course, as he's better than both our CBs but he isn't a silver bullet.

What were the player failings from these two goals? Henderson not tracking the midfielder? Firmino not in the way for the corner?

It's the expanding way we play. We are never going to be an outstanding team defensively under Klopp. It's all about the other end of the pitch and dominating games when we have the ball. Historically, Klopp never had outstanding defensive teams. We've got to take the rough with the smooth.

That's part of the problem but Lovren is disastrous outside the width of the penalty box (I have been saying this since he first arrived). With fullbacks high that is the ball the opposition will use so you need someone better able to deal with coming out the "trams"

First goal was woeful defending of the set-piece, there is a Watford player stopping Mignolet coming for it and why is Firmino marking / in the central zone of the 6 yard box?

Second goal again poor defending TAA attempts to clear the ball and it hits one of the CBs then the Watford player follows in, surely there should have been one of the midfielders picking him up?

We are useless at zonal defending but I hold Matip as responsible as Bobby for the goal.

That was the problem with the CBs down Moreno's side previously.

Don't kid yourself, he's a ****ing shocking footballer in fact that entire back line is. TAA I'm not going to include in that as he's only young but the rest are ****ing dreadful. It's the same **** every game conceding simple goals. It's basic defending you learn when you're in school kicking a ball about with your mates ffs, it's dog**** stuff to watch it really is.

2nd goal was not Moreno's fault. He has had a good game. Emre Can and Henderson have been terrible.
