Ha, I'm not miserable, I just don't think we'll beat em.

You mean in the away leg or overall?

They are a good team, and we do have the habit of making a team look much better than they are at times, but we are a good team too and when we click we can cause problems for anyone.

To put them into some sort of context, for me they would be as good a team as say Everton or the Mancs were last season.

Plus they are like us in that they are capable of looking top class in one game and donkeys in the very next game.

We also have a habit of making great teams look ****, but barely anyone seems to recall that.

We certainly are able to raise our game for the big matches.

I think we'll lose over there. Hopefully the Coutinho ****-show will have been sorted one way or the other and there'll be a better mood around the club for the return leg.

If we lose, i'm pinning it on him. Whether that is rational or not.

Yeah, he's a huge miss for this game as is Lallana.

Yeah massive, so annoying it is. I would say Sturridge too but sure nothing knew there.

Sturridges goal v Bayern was a glimpse at what he still offers.

Hope he can get a good run of games and get his body battle hardened.

Aw man he's an outstanding player, you would have to worry about the mental toll all these injuries have had on him. During the summer it was things like i'm in the states injury troubles behind me, feeling amazing etc and then he gets ****ed in pre season after a few minutes.

Normally injuries in preseason are standard, especially in a Klopp pre season but it's all too familiar with Sturridge. Frustrating for us fans and the club but can you imagine how the poor ******* feels. Mentally shot to **** i'd say.

I think thats the 500th time that's been said on here.

I'm pretty sure if you put the site's posts into a word cloud injury, hope and pray would be among the larger words.

Well I did say this earlier in the thread

they were good enough last season to be a top 6 or top 7 EPL team, and doing well against teams of that level is something we do very well

TBH I am happy with Salah, Firmino and Mane against Hoffenheim. Those three have a great mix of the styles that gave the Hoffenheim backline trouble last season.

Getting it right in midfield will be where these two games will be won and lost imo. Attacking through the centre is such a big part of their game that if we can stifle that we take away a huge part of their game.
