I've been wondering lately about playing Milner/Henderson as a deep pair in the midfield three. My idea would be that if you play Moreno as a left winger starting from fullback Milner can cover. Both Henderson and Milner are capable of moving forward with the ball from deep.

We don't seem to use Milners ability to keep the ball in the final third very well, so this might get more out of the team.

Would mean Milner covers for Moreno when he's tickling their goalkeeper or hopping on the spot singing nursery rhymes

Good shout, I was reluctant to see Milner in midfield but that was before I saw how Wijnaldum started the season.

Both Mane and Can missed training this week so may be a doubt for the game unless they were rested. We'll probably find out if they miss training today.

Surely there'll be fresh faces in for this. Maybe a debut for Robertson ? A start for Grujic possibly? Milner could be a chance to play but where? Klavan for one of the 2 CB's? Gomez or Milner for TAA? Sturidge for Firmino?

I'd like to see Hendo rested as he's struggling for form & just returning from a long term injury. Plus the midfield 3 aren't a great fit together. Play Can deeper & Wini & Grujic either side.
