I wouldn't read to much in to that.. It was mentioned in the Echo today with the sensational click bait headline. Mane and Can not seen in training today..

It seems all is not as bad as it appears, it looks like they were both set to miss training by prior agreement..

Sadio Mane caused concern when the Senegalese winger was a notable absentee from Liverpool's training on Thursday.

Mane, along with Emre Can, were not pictured in the photographs released by the club of Thursday's session at Melwood.

The duo have started both games for the Reds this season, despite their late return to full training during pre-season.

Can was the final player to return to Merseyside after his successful Confederations Cup campaign with Germany, while Mane resumed full training upon the club's return from Hong Kong.

While it is believed the pair were scheduled to miss the session, some supporters took to social media to voice their worry over their absences.

Mane, in particular, has started the season in fine form – scoring the first equaliser against Watford on Saturday, and putting in a top performance against Hoffenheim on Tuesday.

Hope your right bud. If not Solanke to start hopefully as I'm really keen to see what he's made of.
Me, I’m either planning a holiday or I’m on one.

Firmino skipped a lot of training towards the end of season last year and still played.
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

Hi Steve. Yeah great mate as I hope you are too.

I like the look of Solanke and I'd be happy to see how he develops over the coming season. He has all the attributes of a very good striker.. Looks to be a very good bit of business by the club..IMO.

I think it will be very much the same team as the previous two matches, got a feeling Wijnuldum might make way for Milner or Milner for Moreno.

Fingers crossed we see a performance today that is more free flowing and not disjointed as the 2 previous games.

            That is correct.

Just to add Klopp never mentioned them as being doubtful in the presser...

Anyone reckon Solanke might get a run out today?

Think if Sturridge is fit I would like to see this XI start

                  Mig
                  TAA - Matip - Lovren - Milner
                  Can
                  Firmino - Wijnaldum
                  Salah - Sturridge - Mane

Firmino did very well in the Bundesliga as an AM/Wide AM/Second striker, and he used to drop back into a central midfield role when Hoffenheim when under pressure back then. He has the ability and past experience of the role and it would allow him, Salah and Mane to interchange at will whilst still allowing us to have another attacker in Sturridge ahead of them.

Plus De Boer does like his defences to play a high line, so an extra attacker could pay off big time. Having said that watch him now play nine at the back against us

The only other change I would make is one that has no chance of happening thanks to his behaviour in tha past and that is Sakho at LCB instead of Lovern. Could not think of a better team for him to have to come in and prove himself against given the last game we had against Palace.
I don't hate people. I just feel better when they aren't around.

I think it was more fatigue than injury, but basically Klopp didn't want to risk him in training so let him rest until match day. Obviously if Mané and Can are actually injured, that's a different story, but if it's just a slight niggle, Klopp could just be playing it safe.

Aye absolutely just pointing out it was permitted, 'skipped' makes him sound like a truant

Hope to see Firmino in mane's position and bring Sturridge in as the front man

Can see him coming on, not starting.

Even if we did have the rumoured injuries, I'd be reluctant to give him his first start up top on his own against 3 big centre backs. Think they'll struggle more with the movement of Firmino or Sturridge.

That being said, Mouine is a big powerful CF and they couldn't deal with him last week.
