Anyone know what has happened Wijnaldum. His form looks to have fallen off a cliff. Didn't see enough of him today myself though.

Good result, 3 points and after a disjointed first 45 the second half was a bit tidier and flashes of what will come.
We definitely miss our creative players, but we did what was needed and held on.
Good first outing from Robertson, a little hesitant at times but did well for the best part, although it's early days..
Matip was excellent and never gave big Ben much room at all. I we could get VVD in what a partnership that would be!!
Onwards and upwards..

Yeah both he and Henderson have started the season playing in a manner that would surprise nobody if they were hooked, but that lack of quality and depth in the centre gives us little choice.
Personally I would drop Firmino back into the AM/support striker role he played in at Hoffenheim and drop one from Henderson/Wijnaldum and stick a striker up front ahead of Mane/Firmino/Salah. We saw today when we dropped Firmino back and put a striker ahead of the three attacking players that we looked a lot more threatening. Might not work against the best in the league but against the bus parkers and supposed weaker teams an extra attacker beats having an extra passenger in the centre.I don't hate people. I just feel better when they aren't around.

Happy with the win and clean sheet, I'd like to see that defence trialled a bit more often. Robertson played really well as did Gomez and Klavan and Matip were also again bar Klavan getting skinned on the right by Loftus-Cheekbone.
I really don't want to see Lovren back in that line up, he's scary. Sitter missed by big **** Chris, bad miss that was and we're lucky really. Second half was good played so much better especially when Salah came on. Mane is so good, love him.
Need to keep moving forwards now.Klopp on LFC vs MUFC (March 9th 2016) - "This is why I love football. This is why we watched it when we were young. I can still not have enough of it."

Always, keep your face to the sun, and shadows will fall behind you.

Think we done enough, dull first half but came out better second.
Nice debut by Robertson and he was playing it safe so definitely more to come when he grows into it, and Solanke nice to a have a proper striker on the pitch. Funny when Klopp shoved Mane away and went and grabbed big Dom.
Strange atmosphere though, dark cloud hanging over us, first game of the season is usually a fresh glimpse of sunlight before the impending doom
I swear the mood was better when we had Hodgson and ****ing Joe Cole as our new star

Post match stats.
Robertson, who made his Premier League debut for the Reds, created more chances (three) and had more touches of the ball (134) than any other Liverpool player.
De Boer is only the second Dutch manager to suffer defeat in his first two Premier League games after Martin Jol, who lost his opening three in the competition.
Liverpool have kept five clean sheets in their past six Premier League games, as many as in the previous 21.
Crystal Palace have lost six of their past seven games in the Premier League, failing to score in each defeat.
The Reds kept a clean sheet against Crystal Palace for the first time in 14 competitive matches.
Liverpool have lost just one of their past 14 Premier League matches - this fixture last season.Modifying post.

Klavan made the 1 mistake but I wonder how many Lovren would have made. He did well other than that & looked composed & assured. Keeps his spot in my opinion.
Commentators & some on here saying we were lucky they missed that one & got out of jail, but are they forgetting we should have been 2up at HT as we missed equally as good chances ourselves.Me, I’m either planning a holiday or I’m on one.

I saw the end of the game and Dann went up front for them around then which opened up the game. I'm not saying I don't like the kid, just we had more chances due to the circumstances rather than Solanke per se.Originally posted by Charly View PostWe were definitely more dangerous once Solanke came on

Dan went forward to be an aerial threat as they were chasing the game. It wasn't aerially that Solanke excelled in so I'm not sure that was a factor in Solanke looking good, if you know what I mean. Although Solanke is a big lad & good in the air it was his athleticism & touch that caused them trouble.Me, I’m either planning a holiday or I’m on one.
