Pointed it out in the other thread, but look at the speed of Can. Mane is running full speed without the ball and Can is at least just as quick.Originally posted by Shaggy View PostGreat run too from Mane, blocking the Arsenal lads

Unreal. Showed that sort of pace when running half the length of the pitch v Hoffenheim for his 2nd.Originally posted by RedReet View PostPointed it out in the other thread, but look at the speed of Can. So basically Jurgen realised that this was a game to give Karius some minutes in a big match, and Mignolet will play next time out.
Also great to see Henderson getting the praise he very much deserves.Modifying post.

I will say this again; this is a ****in brilliant generation of players we have here. Coutinho and Mane could play for anyone, no doubt about it. Can quickly getting there too, then Salah, Matip, Firmino, Lallana, and some great young talent, and an unbelievable ****in manager... We're sooo close to something special here. But we're just as close to getting ****ed over by the same **** as last year. One or two injuries, fixture congestion, fatigue, defensive errors, fringe players having to provide cover for extended periods of the season, etc., and it will be "if only" come May.
The way things are now, it looks like Coutinho and Can will leave in a year, and you can kinda understand them; Imagine working so hard to score 3 goals vs Watford (or so many other examples from last season), only to get it nullified by clownership at the back in the 93th minute. It must be ****in frustrating. Two key players to replace sufficiently next summer, with similar quality, it will be impossible. It means just another extended period of rebuilding will follow, and by the time we get some quality there, it will maybe be Mane who'll want to leave, and we'll be in the same cycle that we've been in for the last 20 years all over again.
That's why the time to do it is RIGHT NOW; make that ****in bid for van Dijk, sign Ox or Sanches at least, Lemar would just be too much, convince Coutinho and Can to stay by getting them teammates they deserve and by giving them the option to win trophies, and we can go for the whole ****in lot. In the CL we'll get to play big teams which already suits us, in the league we'll continue to thrash them, but we'll also get the stability to finish off the smaller ones. Honestly with a little recruitment nobody can give me a reason why we can't do it. Not a single one.
Imagine Matip and Van Dijk commanding the back, Can running the midfield, Coutinho and Firmino providing insane passes to Mane and Salah... Then having the option to pick from Lallana, Hendo, Gini, Ox, Lovren, Milner, Sturridge, etc., for other spots... What a team.
