Fair enough. What is it with people being so narky. I think he's ambitious to play in different countries. I'm not stating fact merely an opinion. You might want it to be different doesn't mean it will play out that way.

Unfortunately the affinity with Egypt and Real is really, really strong. Even Salah's father wants him to go to Real (or had in the recent past). Not this summer obviously but soon enough.

Here's a controversial, and maybe unpopular, opinion. I hope Salah has to sit out the world cup and is well rested for us next season. I also hope Egypt go into full mad-Arab hatred for Ramos and Madrid as a result.

My reasoning is we get an even more motivated (and rested) Salah in August. A souring of his own against Madrid. On the other hand I was (still am) looking forward to watching him in the world cup. But LFC is everything and foremost for me.

Idk, playing for Egypt is clearly a huge source of personal pride and satisfaction for him. Playing in the World Cup after making it there for the first time in almost 30 years is likely of the utmost importance to him and I would worry about his mental well-being if he had to miss it as a result of this injury.

Proof (if any were needed) that Ramos tried the Salah grab and roll manoeuvre before. In last years CL final. Managed the foul, not quite as successful so didn't get the injury. Got booked.
