Where's his pace gone? Can't remember him winning a 'foot race' or racing away from anyone all season. Injuring his shoulder can't be the reason can it? Watching this season alone you'd never pick pace as a particular attribute of his. It's all very strange.

I don't understand why he's playing with his back to goal so much. Surely it can't be a tactic to get the ball to his feet whilst static. He's still scoring and assisting, so no real alarm bells but it's odd how often he finds himself in this position as it's not really utilising his attributes to maximise impact on games.

Arsenal aside I don't recall too many instances last season that he outstripped a defence with pace. My memory isn't what it was, mind.

That is the difference this year. There are no through balls or long diagonals. 99% of the time Salah gets the ball this season he has his back to goal.

We do not attack with any pace or urgency this season. Salah needs to be on the shoulder of a defender looking to get on to a through ball or he needs to be in his own half draw the defender to him and leave himself **** loads of space to run into behind the defender. All of what he did last season but isnt this season.

I think the change in style has effected our front 3 in general, this slower, more conservative approach takes away the dynamism of our front 3.
