Frimpong and Bradley should be a good combo. Frimpong looked good off the bench yesterday and brings the much needed pace the team lacks plus they would be very solid defensively as they both understanding the RB role.

I don’t know if it would work but could they interchange at times. We know Frimpong can play both roles and Bradley plays as a wingback for his national team. Bradley has that aggression and power to cause problems. The only other player who can drive forward like him from deeper is Dom.

The problem with RB at the moment is they don’t get the help from Mo and they aren’t getting the same help from midfield like last season which allowed Mo to stay forward. They could deal with it last season because of the midfield setup but having gone away from that the RB is exposed this season with no real support. Having Chiesa or Frimpong ahead of Bradley would make a huge difference and probably help Konate as well.

Mo needs some time out of the firing line and Fede deserves his chance to show what he can do from the start. Same with Isak/Ekitike and Macca/Jones. Those three changes would make a huge difference.

The other strange one for me is what has happened to Grav. He doesn't seem to be progressing the ball anything like he normally does. It's all very strange.

Never going to happen. A) Slot clearly hates Chiesa and B) Mo's ego will not handle being benched. He'll have his manager mouthing off in the press and he'll start the 'poor me' routine we've generally seen when he wants a new contract.

He's not actually playing much different to the majority of last season tbh, his all-round game was equally as poor - giving the ball away constantly, not being able to play simple passes 90% of the time, not tracking back, not being able to beat a fullback. All the signs of a sharp drop at some stage in the next few years were there. He just has an incredible knack of popping up eventually and getting his goal or penalty which papers over the cracks for many. But I don't let those goals cloud my judgement to what were overall poor performances.

He was clearly playing for the contract too in hindsight, as soon as that got sorted he went back to being absolutely ****e. Just like the last time. He has form in that department.
