Plus Keita in midfield, Lemar in attack, VVD and De Vrij in defence, and finally Horn in goal next season.

I suspect some of the others in that list are trying more difficult shots rather than missing sitters.
          Oh I don't know.

Actually think Michael Owen was pretty accurate on summing up Salah the other night.

Basically he makes great runs so keeps getting himself into good scoring positions, but then bizarrely misses the easy chances and scores the hard ones.

I guess the typical way is missing the the opposite and expecting him to have a higher conversion rate would be unrealistic. Bu if he could slot away those simple chances his numbers would be unreal, so the potential for him to be a Messi/Neymar/Ronaldo type player is definitely there.
            Modifying post.

Kane has missed as many sitters as Salah this year.

That's irrelevant though, Salah is great at getting himself into these great positions, so it seems a bit unfair to criticise him for missing these chances, when there would be no issue if he took up a worse position and missed.
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

Obviously some players are labelled as 'scorers of great goals, rather than great goal scorers', but has Salah scored any for us? Was a hard finish the other night, but can't think of any wonder strikes, mostly poacher finishes from what I can remember. My memory is **** though.

I haven't watched Kane so I don't known how many sitters he's missed.

But it's a legitimate criticism of Salah that he misses easy chances. It is 100% fair.

I’ll avoid a semantics argument about what we mean by criticism, but for me, as long as he’s scoring as regularly as he is, I have no reason to criticise him whatsoever, but that’s just my own perspective. If the goals start drying up, then it will become an issue, but what he’s done so far in a struggling team is nothing short of phenomenal, so to see so much written about what he hasn’t done as opposed to what he has (no debut player had scored more goals for us by GW 10 in PL era) is more than a little unfair IMO.

I think you've missed my point.

                      Never mind.

he reminds me a bit of Frank Lampard in that respect. Always seems to be in the right place at the right time.

And the guy was signed primarily as an assist maker. I see him continuing to get into goal scoring situations from his pace and knack of making intelligent runs and as he calms down a bit he will score a **** tonne.

Salahs movement remind me of Freddie Ljungberg... uncanny knack of getting on the end of passes.

although Ljungberg was a better finisher

And yet Ljungberg only scored about 1 in 5.
