As I mentioned in the match thread that goal was Dalglishesque. Showing a surprising amount of strength against a defender, sticking the arse out to roll said defender then whipping a shot into the top corner.

His header was tricky. There was a view behind the goal that showed he was having to reach in front and to the side. We can forgive him. I do think his hot streak is affecting Mane.

Interesting observation and I wonder if Mane feels under pressure to score more to keep up with him. Last year he was clearly our best player and maybe he feels over shadowed by Salah. He was off form today no doubt and that miss rather than pass was a shocker.

Under normal circumstances if he was through on his own as a striker it was correct to shoot but he must have seen the 3 support players ready for a tap in. He's also snatching at chances. However he isn't 100% with his fitness and that could also be to blame.
