I think that time could come to an end soon once Messi and Iniesta join Xavi in retirement. Hopefully

        Couldn't agree more

Maybe he is a serial shagger and has wrecked a few too many homes

I don't think it will. They've gone through cycles before and it never stopped them being the destination.

Dan is a good lad to be fair and he takes a lot of ****, he does like to use the word "Alright" a lot but that's fine.

I've learnt the best way now is to put people on ignore if they're pissing you off. My list is now on 12 people and increasing rapidly. TBH I think the forum is getting stale, most of us have been on here for years so listening to some cunt moaning every day is like waking up to a Mrs or family member moaning.

I personally will probably veer away from the forum this year as like I said it's getting a bit **** now. Perhaps it needs some new blood.

OK, an attempt from me to draw a line under this (and hopefully avoid digging a bigger hole).

In life, on and off line, you come across people who just grind your gears. For whatever reason. People are annoying. Am I a gear grinder? Indisputably. We probably all are to an extent. It's life. We're never all gonna be friends. That, to me is fine.

In most situations, you engineer your life to spend less time with people you don't get on with and more time with people who you do get on with.

Online, it's not always so easy.

Why don't you put people on ignore? People ask. Well you can do that, but when the people you're ignoring have a high proportion of posts in a thread (or indeed forum), it kinda ends up rendering the whole experience, well, not very good. We're essentially a smallish community here, things generally don't yet lost in a sea of posts. They get amplified.

Match threads, for example... In a typical thread, players will get called a disgrace, horrendous, ****e, appalling and god knows what else, the minute they misplace a pass or the team starts to stutter. This often happens during a lull in a game where we've eventually ended up scoring a hatful. I get the overreactions in the heat of the moment, but reading it week after week is not something I'm interested in.

So I often find that for an easier life, it's better just to avoid certain threads or even forums altogether. It's a simple solution and everyone's sort of happy.

Yesterday, my reasons for generally avoiding match threads came up, and I answered the question honestly. Nobody got called a cunt, or any other name. But my response was insulting.

Was I being a **** about it? Yes.

                    Should I apologise? Yes.

So here we have it. Sorry Dan.

This is the last I'm gonna say on the matter, so let's get back to grinding each other's gears, accepting that we don't have to get on with each other, and doing what we generally do best - complaining about something or other.
                    Oh I don't know.

What will I do for my daily fix of epic puns...... - I check in every day and if someone says something I disagree with it's there opinion and that's fair enough. I just let things go over my head as there is enough ****e to be dealing with without following football becoming a chore.

I get that but don't understand what it is that Dan does that deserves such vitriol. Some of the abuse levelled at him by Chazza, Lee and others caught me by surprise and I never understood it. It wasn't just you it was fairly orchestrated

Ha ha I'm sure you will cope lol.

I've tried following your method Nev with one forum member in particular but I can't bear to even read their posts anymore as they're a boring tedious ****, so I've had no choice but to put them on ignore as it's easier for me that way rather than get into an argument with them.

It's alright Slinks, judging by the activity in the cryptocurrency thread everyone on this site is now a multi-millionaire so it won't be long before the site shuts down altogether anyway.
