    Damn!

According to Opta's definition (not exactly sure what that is but hey ho), no player has missed more big chances in the Premier League this season than his 23.

Imagine if he'd had taken roughly half of them... He'd have very easily surpassed Shearer's 42 game record AND Rush's all comps record.

Is a bit of a misleading stat though, as his actual conversion rate this season has been very very good.

All that says to me is he'll score even more next year.

His stats are actually nuts when you think about it.

In the Premier league this season he has taken 144 shots at goal and scored 32 time. That gives him a conversion rate of 22.22%, which is a top drawer return that puts him top of the pile this season amongst most of the best players across the better leagues in Europe or at least very close to top of the pile.

          But.......

..........If we take his shots on target this season in the premier league, then he has had 67 shots on target and gotten 32 goals. A conversion rate of 47.76%

Hey Tee, what does that mean?

I've been watching Magnificent Century and they say mashallah and inshallah but no translation given.

Mashallah (Arabic: ما شاء الله‎, mā shāʾa llāhu), also Masha'Allah, Ma shaa Allah is an Arabic phrase that means "God has willed" or "as God willing", expresses appreciation, joy, praise, or thankfulness for an event or person that was just mentioned.

ʾIn shāʾa llāh (Arabic: إن شاء الله‎, ʾin shāʾa llāhu; pronounced [ʔɪn ʃaːʔɑ ɫˈɫɑːh]), also inshallah, in sha Allah or insha'Allah, is the Arabic language expression for "God willing" or "if God wills".

Do any Muslim reds have a take on how Ramadan will effect Salah and Mane?

                        I did read that:

However, because the players will have journeyed to Kiev for the final they could be considered travellers under Islamic teaching, meaning they have the option to break their fast for the duration of the trip.
This can’t be unprecedented for Muslim sport stars?

Excluding the issue with training apparently the game kicks off at 9pm local time in Kiev, which is before sunset.
                        Modifying post.

The Muslim players will only be exempt from fasting on the day they travel, however some scholars may say it is acceptable for them not to fast on the day of the game. I am not sure what the lads will do but wouldn’t be surprised if they don’t fast on the 26th, though I’m sure the club medics and dieticians have a programme in place for them to ensure their energy levels aren’t compromised.

I saw a TV programme about a Muslim athlete and i'm sure he mentioned he could break the fast if he had approval from the imam, and made a donation to a charity- is that right?

They generally wouldn't fast on Match days

These are a good read on the subject:

Yep pretty much although you wouldn't break the fast; you just wouldn't fast on that day to begin with
