To be honest I haven’t seen anyone say anything other than blatant pen about yesterdays one.

He was brilliant second half yesterday, like he thought at HT I’m not dropping points v these bums and upped it bigtime. As close as anyone else is going to get to having a version of Messi.

They were going on about it on the radio before on how he didn't have to go down and it was the air shot which took him down and they should bring in retrospective action against him as hes doing it to often and is cheating.

It's the BS of all this that pisses me off, Salah's yesterday was a clear penalty but a bunch of dicks in the media are talking about him going down easily. Compare that to the reaction of Vardy's dive yesterday, it was called out on MOTD but that was all I've heard about it and that was as clear a dive as you will see, Kane and Alli throw themselves to the floor if someone brushes against them and that is perfectly acceptable and even encouraged if they are wearing an England shirt.

Referees need to be giving pens when there are fouls when a player doesn't go to the floor, for years they haven't been doing that and it has encouraged players to go down in order to get the decision and it's pushed on from there somewhat.
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

I think most modern forwards do tend to go down easily, or draw the fouls when the opportunity arises, and Salah is no different really, but he is far, far, far from the worst in the game. So much so, he's barely worth mentioning in any discussion around it.
You don't need to go that far back to see cases of him doing his best to stay up in order to complete a move. Sometimes resulting in a goal, sometimes allowing the ref to escape making a decision.

Maybe they should take a look at Prince Harry Kane and his uncanny ability to wrap a defenders arm around him before tumbling arms spread. In fact, it was England's chief tactic in the World Cup.

It still surprises me how good he is. I still recall not being all that bothered when we signed him

The fact that he is on course to be one of the best players in the history of the club is just amazing. Nobody would have called it.

Agree about yesterday, he had a totally ineffective first half and came out second as if he had been told how good he was and that Brighton should be no match for him.

This is the type of **** im talking about and it was pretty much the same with Suarez. As has been mentioned above its ok if one of Englands own does it but as soon as its a foreign player their is uproar. This is without mentioning that yesterday's was a stone wall pen.

Really - who and on what station?

It couldn't have been clearer, he was fouled in about 3 different ways.

Was just happy we had a good pacey alternative/cover for Mane as we really suffered without him on the pitch. Then we basically ended up with our version of Lionel Messi

Think it was either BBC 5 live or talksport. Dean Saunders was on it defending Mo to be fair.

Yeah I've got a lot of time for Saunders as he speaks a lot of sense plus being an ex red I've got a soft spot for him and you can tell the admiration he has for us.

Why I'd give a **** what Crooks thinks is beyond me, but just a little piece in his team of the week yoke on BBC kind of illustrates some of the snide that's crept into parts of the media covergae of Salah.

Essentially an engineered peno the other day, with the overt implication that it is exactly what Salah wanted.

Of course, the British Rashford, a renowned cheating scumbag on numerous occasions over the last couple of seasons, fares a bit more even-handed.

Mohamed Salah: I cannot believe Brighton's Pascal Gross fell for it. We've all seen Mohamed Salah go down from the slightest touch in the penalty area (normally at Anfield) but there was no doubt about this one on Saturday.

Salah teased and enticed Gross to such an extent the German just had to have a bite. The result was another penalty attributed to Salah's ingenuity.

The Egypt international took the spot-kick and buried it into the back of the net to extend Liverpool's lead at the top of the table. And that's why he's in my team of the week.

Did you know? Of the past 10 Premier League penalties taken by left-footed players, six have failed to score - the other four have all been scored by Mohamed Salah.

Marcus Rashford: Regular readers of my team of the week column will know what I think of Marcus Rashford.

With a little bit of luck and a fair wind, I believe this lad can be whatever he wants to be.

Like most United players, Rashford looks a very happy bunny under the new management and fits up front perfectly with United's speedy style. It will be very interesting to see what happens to Romelu Lukaku now.

Did you know? Marcus Rashford has scored in three consecutive Premier League games for the first time in his career.
