Not wanting to put down Hunt's achievements but weren't a decent number of his early goals when we were in the second tier, so not strictly a like for like comparison.
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

Yes, it also appears that Mo has actually done in fewer minutes played than Hunt. Substitutions not being brought in until after he'd reached his milestone.

What a player - every time we get a player like that (Fowler, Owen, Torres, Suarez and now Salah) I wonder if that's it. But somehow we keep finding them!

I'm more than happy the great Roger Hunt holds the record. Absolute legend. Different era but he help lay the foundations for our success. Salah doesn't need every record, greedy *******.

Like I say I'm not wanting to put Hunt's legacy down, he is an LFC legend and from the era that really made the club what it is today I just thought it was worth mentioning, in the context of Salah's achievement.

True, valid point but to put another context to it, hunts era was dodgy pitches and physical tackles. Players weren't exactly looked after like they are now. It's great we've had so many awesome goalscorers. Fowler is still my favourite. It was so easy for him. Just wish he'd looked after himself better and had more luck with injuries.

What a difference that scrappy goal made to Mo the other night. Was electric yesterday and will be disappointed to have only scored the 1 goal.

Nice that the whole forward line scored again, it must be a complete nightmare for opposing teams.
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

5 very good options, injuries permitting plus Derek. We have to get silverware this season.

Imagine being up against Mane, Diaz and Salah only to see Jota and Firmino come on at 65 minutes.
