I think it’s sad what’s happening now, Mo has set us all alight with his goals over the last few years. He’s been the greatest outlet we’ve ever had, lob it up to Mo to take on the last defender and he would show his magic and score, the fact he couldn’t defend didn’t matter as he was such a threat up front.

But that’s not happening anymore for whatever reason and something needs to change, like it or not Mo’s a liability in the new set up. There is no room for a luxury player any more and sadly Mo has had his day.

But how do you say farewell to a hero, seemingly impossible, and now it looks like Mo’s got a bit bitter if you believe the press. It won’t end well now we are struggling for some continuity and need to get some steady performances under our belt.

Mo has become a problem, Slot knows that and is trying to address the issue in full knowledge of the teams failings. However how do you elbow a superhero and maintain the team spirit.

        Buggered if I know

So why did they offer him that extension then, given the spend this summe, why didn't they say thanks for the memories as they did with others

Shame for all parties that he didn't leave in the summer.

For what he has achieved he deserved a hero's send off. This is a sad way to bow out.

            Virgil should have gone too.

            What a cluster **** it's turning into.

Can we get mane back for 6 months?

Because this way the club gets a transfer fee instead of losing another player for nothing.

I'd be shocked if we get anything north of £20m from Saudi, Europe won't want to pay anything near that and the next market after that is the US, which won't pay a dime, Saudi or bust I'm afraid

Fan pressure likely has a lot to do with it.

Yeah it’ll be Saudi, but I think he’ll fetch considerably more than £20m.

They will have kept him so that shows any potential new signings that we are serious.
Maybe if they see salah going it may not make us look as attractive.
Then we can sell him and recover a big lump of cash at the end of the season...

So salah isnt going to be staying, we are not getting a big lump, given his wages and limited market and his newfound ****ness!
removing all the weak links makes us stronger

too many gutless players, no beef or desire. pussies everywhere... sack them all.

I can't answer for them. Maybe they got caught up in the hype and actually thought that the goals he scored were actually all Salah's own doing and they could just roll him out there again and get the same result, when the more astute observation was that his play was generally subpar and the goals - the vast majority of which were setup by the team - merely papered over his declining play. Now the goals have dried up and he is stinking the place out with both his performance and attitude, reality has finally set in.

Can't see that with Eddie, He's ****ing ruthless

Quite the reaction to being benched for 3 games huh?

Really odd. I don't buy into the 'he was **** last season and the goals weren't due to him' narrative, if not for Salah we'd not have won the league; but he can absolutely **** right off for me

Bye Mo, thanks for the memories

IF Edwards is behind this, he's showing his ruthlessness now by trying to get rid at the earliest opportunity. Being ruthless doesn't mean having perfect judgement.

Maybe the promise was sign a two year deal but play for one more so they could sell him to the Saudi league for a good fee but they’ve told him you’re going in January because of the big drop off.

When he signed the deal I think most of us thought he’d stay for one and then get sold.

Who knows but I doubt this has gone down well with his teammates. I can’t imagine they’re happy with him right now either. Even if they’re losing faith in Slot, I’m not saying they are, this isn’t the way to deal with it and he’s just heaped a load more pressure and attention on the club at the worst time especially when he’s about to head off and not have to deal with a lot of it.
