I think he is starting due to a lack of options, at the moment the alternatives are Ngumoha who Slot doesn't want to play alot due to his age and Chiesa who IMO is an impact sub, I wonder if Szoboszlai might have been used there more if he weren't playing ar RB or fighting fires elsewhere... I think the idea of Szoboslai playing there is decent in my opinion. I've been hoping to see a midfield of Wirtz left, Grav and Mac in the middle with Szoboslai right. Both wide players not really hogging the touchline and kerkez and frimpong bombing down the wings providing overlap. That would allow us to play with ekitike and salah as two central forwards. And would allow us to put isak in instead of salah when he is back as well. Also allowing us to put gakpo on the bench which is a good attacking option

An ATG but watching him now is like watching Roy Jones Jnr Vs Calzaghe. Sure he scored a goal but his allround play was atrocious as was his first touch.
