Yes but he only played 31 minutes and 15 minutes respectively in those Brazil matches.

All I'm saying is maybe he's not quite ready to start.

I reckon we will line up...

      Mane - Bobby - Mo

      Gini - Hendo - Can

      Robertson - Lovren - Matip - Gomez

      Karius

I think we will see midfield and attacking changes v. Burnley.
I like this, get Coutinho on for the last 30 and then give him a start in our next league game.

I wonder whether we'll learn anything about Jurgen's priorities this season from the line-up tonight. Ordinarily, you wouldn't start Coutinho, who has had just 30 mins of footy and a poor pre-season due to 'injury'. You would give him 30 mins tonight from the bench and start him at the weekend. If he starts tonight, it might show how seriously Jurgen is taking the CL versus the PL...

Since he's been here, Klopp has been very risk-averse when it comes to players returning from injuries.

Also if he is taking the Champions League so seriously why does it appear we won't quite be going full strength tomorrow?

          Honestly I don't get it.

I'd play Coutinho in the league and deprive him of CL football because I'm a spiteful sadist.

Mohamed Salah missing from Liverpool's open training session at Melwood this afternoon.

Look at his happy wee face. The cunt.

Salah had an illness apparently. Though conveniently I thought he'd be rested in this game anyway to be the pace option vs Burnley in Mane's absence.

So no Salah meaning Coutinho could start? Or Sturridge starting next to Firmino and Mane with Coots coming on second half? Either way I like our options for tomorrow and Saturday.
                              One tit for another.

I've not seen us play with Sturridge and Coutinho and witness the formation work.

They could be dynamite as a 2, but if one or other has to play wide in a 3 it doesn't seem to work.
