Sturridge and Firmino are dropping too deep at he same time. Is pointless both of them going deep and staying deep at the same time.


Salah can drop deep and then make up for it with sheer pace, but the other two not so much.

Often one of Sturridge or Firmino gets the ball this half and the other one is nowhere near the 18 yard box let alone being inside it.

What gets me is that for a group of players that have been training and playing together for at least a year for the most part (save for Salah and Robertson), they often make it look like they are all brand new to the other in terms of reading each other's play and runs.


We get an Arsenal level performance, then a little spell of league games in which we look like a team getting to know each other.
