EST's word of the weekend seems to be tit.

I do not know why we use it as an insult, they are wonderful things.
The times they are a changin'.

Regarding the penalty which was given - this happens anywhere else on the pitch and its probably a free kick in our favour.

Mignolet gets enough on the ball to take it away from Vardy who then clatters into Mignolet taking them both down.

Its exactly like the Mane challenge that got him sent off - whoever gets there first is going to be fouled by the other player.

Its certainly not as clear as some are making out.

If there's bodily contact then the slightest of touches counts, same should apply to touches on the ball. Fact that his foot touches the ball means he was going for it and got it. Vardy arrived later = foul on Mig

I really don't follow your logic. In fact it makes no sense whatsoever. I think you two have managed to convince yourselves of something a bit silly and haven't realised yet.

The key mistake is this "Mignolet gets enough on the ball to take it away from Vardy," because it clearly isn't true. Mig can't get it because it's gone passed him and he's heading in the wrong direction, Vardy can get to it but Mig wipes him out. There really is no injustice here.

I haven't said he takes it away from Vardy, just that he touches the ball before he touches Vardy. They're both in the vicinity of the ball but Mig gets there first. If his aim was to foul Vardy then he missed

Haven't read the whole thread, but has the penalty we didn't get been mentioned?

Morgan held Matip down by both arms to prevent him getting on the end of a corner.

Stonewall and least debatable of the bunch imo.
Apart from Can's, which was never a penalty

vardy didnt even raise a foot to try and get the ball, only mig went for the ball and got it.
vardy was only trying to get contact on mig and then make a feeble effort at a dive, same as when he got matip booked.
the guy is a cunt, but i wish he played for us.
removing all the weak links makes us stronger

too many gutless players, no beef or desire. pussies everywhere... sack them all.

Vardy was running full pelt towards the by line, Migs touch almost stops the ball so it ends up behind Vardy - the balls direction changes and rolls gently toward Matip. There is simply no way that Vardy would have been able to stop, change direction and get to it before Matip.
