Maribor Build up & Match thread [CL] (A)

So we’ve got an important away match in the CL to play in about 36 hours so the matches are coming thick & fast.

What do we know about Maribor? I know nothing except we have to beat them.

Should Solanke be given a chance to lead the line? What about playing Grujic, Robertson, Ox & Coutinho in midfield?

We don’t have a lot of options in midfield imo. If not Grujic it must be Milner then. I can’t imagine we’ll play all of Can, Hendo & Gini again so who else do we have other than Milner & Grujic? The kids?

They are a well organized team, experienced, but very slow at the back, both ox and salah should start imo, they will cause them a world of problems. i'd start sturridge aswell, he may have lost a bit of pace but he's still got enough for that defence. i expect a win, but not by much, 2:0 perhaps.

Surely Firmino can't start this so the striker position is open. More than likely going to be Studge for experience. Salah has to start despite being resting. We have to score early and stop missing so many fecking chances so Salah gets an early break.

Just had a look at the dates, and, in all comps, it was September 23rd when we last won a game, and then back to August 27th for the win before that.
