    Danny Ward

So should we be giving him a chance in the first team? Done well the past two seasons, and seems like he grows as a player when challenged... could it get any worse than what we got?

Thought about it for a few weeks now, and just decided to throw it out there now that I read Jan Mølby backed him Everyone knows that former players are footballing geniuses!

    Simple answer is yes.

Mignolet has had enough chances. Karius just looks average.

    100% karius starts though!

I want Ward to start, and have expressed concerns about his development, given our refusal to let him leave on loan. Cup games are far from enough, especially as we were knocked out by Leicester at the first attempt in the Carabao Cup, and the FA Cup is dependent on who we get.

Karius and Ward are the same age. The former is playing in the Champions League, while the latter is, well, training.

Mignolet is 29, and, although that is young for a GK, he's held the sticks for 4 seasons now.

Ward has potential, and will be hungry to prove himself. Chuck him in and give him the incentive to be our No.1.

How we think we need three quality GK's is baffling IMO, especially when two of them are 24, and our supposed first choice is 29. It's just killing development.

I can't see either of them getting a chance sadly, can't ****ing stand Mignolet but Klopp always turns to him. He's a complete letdown.

              This always happens.

Whenever there is a problem, the player who isn't playing has a rise in his stock for no apparent reason. Ward is an okay GK but he's not the answer, he should have been sent out on loan yes but bringing him in behind a leaky defence will solve **** all.

Presumably Klopp must think that he is close to the first team because if he was miles away we would have let him go on loan. If I'd known he was getting so little football I would have let him go on loan to Huddersfield for the season when they offered that.

Speaking of which, their keeper didn't seem too bad.

Bang average goalkeepers traditionally have worldies against us, they always seem to play well.

Lössl is pretty decent goalkeeper, but nowhere near top PL level, he even have a hard time getting in to the Danish national team squad, and it's hardly because we're blessed with brilliant keepers outside Schmeichel.

Fair enough, I saw him come for several crosses and I was impressed, must be because I've been led by several Liverpool keepers to believe that this is world class skill..

Well anyone coming out for a cross and actually handling it is impressive by current standards at this club!

I think it's high time this lad got a chance. Put it this way, can he do any worse than the other 2 lads who have got chance after chance?

If we are going to be trying keepers I would like to see us give him a go, I don't think Karius has what it takes. At least this guy has a chance of being here next season.
