I still don't see it happening as much as I would like to. It was suggested pre-game that Karius might get a run of games and I still see that happening.

He's not the answer, but for me if we're trying out keepers we might as well give him a go. He has at least looked decent for Aberdeen and Huddersfield, albeit in different leagues, but they still have the physical nature of the British game which for me Karius struggles with. We kept Ward back in the summer when we could have let him go on loan to Huddersfield for the season, surely we only did that because we thought that he could play some games.

For me all three of the keepers here are auditioning for the spot as out backup keeper next season.

My mate who is a Huddersfield Town season ticket holder was going on all last season that he couldn’t understand why he wasn’t first choice for us. He said he looked different class playing for them, and loads better than mignolet or Karius looked for us.

I know it was only the championship, and I know the challenges are different, but he’s shown promise, he has also looked good for Wales, and he is 25 now. If we don’t give him a go now then how will we ever know how good he is?
