i heard something on the radio about crouch signing a one year extension with them so he will be likely to score in the last five minutes.
i hope we are more than three goals ahead at that stage or we might cave in again.

Vegas is a ****hole too, to be fair.
In the beginning, Fowler created the Heaven and the Earth.

Can’t see the point of having Wijnaldum on the bench. He offers too little. Time to build for the future. Woodburn would be a better option.
          Another MASSIVE game

Definitely, we need to make sure some of our best youngsters feel there is a way into this team, we cannot continue to play the same beige midfielders.

I'm not a fan of Wijnaldum generally, well insofar as he was eminently upgradable since day 1 (not quite good enough for us), but even i wouldn't hook him for an untested forward.

id be more inclined to give woodburn 30 minutes as sub, enough time to be able to show himself.
also love to see solanke get a decent amount of time.

I always thought Wijnaldum bought something different to our midfield from day 1 and it was noticeable in how we started the season so well. It was his ability to hold onto the ball under pressure. I thought he had a very promising first season tbh but he hasn't progressed at all since then.

                  A quandary

In terms of as sub they (Wijnaldum and Woodburn) offer very different options. For me Wijnaldum is a rest or 'safety' sub you are only going to bring him on if you want to a like for like sub to give the player who started a rest, or as a safety option incase someone gets injured. A Woodburn type player in our setup would be more of an impact or tactical change sub. Obviously in the case of Woodburn there is the experience aspect as well. I think that you need to get the balance of the subs right in that regard and i'm not sure that is something we necessarily do.
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

we seem to often sub off our more attacking midfielder then bring on a supposedly more solid midfielder, maybe milner or can, but then the initiative is then handed back to the opposition.
instead of us pressing them and looking to score we seem to surrender 10 yards in midfield which then isolates our attacking wingers and striker so they have less of an impact on the match. the opposition then are able to come and play through our still ****e midfield with ease and we are suckers for the late goal.

hopefully with 30 minutes left and a couple of goals up we can then swap firmino for solanke and wijnaldum for woodburn. keep the pressure on, and the incoming players are hungry to prove their worth so make more of an effort.
they will still have some other decent players around them so they progress better than just another reserve game with the kids.

On this day in 2000 Gerard Houllier's Liverpool won 8 (EIGHT) nil at Stoke City in the League Cup. Robbie Fowler plundered a hat-trick for the rampant Reds, with Christian Ziege, Vladimir Smicer, Markus Babbel, Sami Hyypia and Danny Murphy also on target for the Pool.

I was there. Pegguy Arphexad in goal doing his best to give them a consolation. Murder outside afterwards too, anyone with a scouse accent getting ambushed on the path to the bridge over the A50, while the police stood on and watched.

Any kind of win will do tonight.

I had a vasectomy about 2 hours ago. Please Liverpool, don't make this day more painful than it already is.
