Not a fan of his but he took the card to stop them scoring. Surely he did the right thing there? And we got away with it.

It definitely wasn't a red card tackle in itself, was it a 'clear goalscoring opportunity'? Probably, but with two defenders so close the ref would need a good angle to be able to judge that the striker was obviously going to tap it in so it's not difficult to see why he gave the yellow.

And apart from that minute or two he did alright, got solid fists on some dangerous crosses.

I don't think malice or intent is required if it counts as preventing an obvious goalscoring opportunity, I just don't think it was obvious enough to the ref with two defenders in close proximity.

Yeah I read that just now & cant believe he confessed to that.
