I think Lovren could be better in a back 3 as opposed to a back 4.

I think i said it before but the change that Conte made to his team around Oct 2016 - moving to a 3-4-3 - would work a treat for the squad we have. I just think it would make us tighter at the back without taking away our attacking threat.

Coutinho had two assists in the first half.

Was brilliant and at the heart of our attacks all game in my opinion. He went on a couple of dribbles first half where they couldn't get the ball from him.

More importantly, it's going to help us over the winter break in terms of fitness. I think Klopp's fallen foul of the demands of the Christmas period a few times, but now he's using the squad well IMO. He's managed the Stoke game, and yesterday well.

I'm beginning to think the same, a back 3 means a tighter more compact midfield. This gives the defenders better protection maybe. I did notice he seemed less panicky and somehow seemed more comfortable on the ball.

3 at the back has certainly helped Lovren. Klavan getting ill may have been a blessing in disguise. Can was awesome and our possession was much better because we almost exclusively had midfielders or attackers on the pitch. Even Wijnaldum as dodgy as he was.

Saying that I can't help feel Glen Murray could have had a hattrick on another day. But I'll take the good karma with the bad as long as it evens itself out.

That 2nd goal was a thing of beauty , impossible to defend against the front three playing different game to the rest of the mortals on the pitch.

Having Mane or Salah just gives us so much pace and Firmi done brilliant for the third as well making up ground for the pass from Salah.

It is a tad annoying that we haven't been able to play our best eleven anywhere near often enough. Maybe we just need to get even more first team players in and settle for never having that dream eleven together.
