Hopefully he misses the Euro's as well and gets a full pre-season and is back to 100% for the new season in August.

Yeah, this was the big worry for me also. Surely the sensible option is that he looks to the start of next season?

It is, but this is where National teams (and players too) tend to make really bad decisions.

But from his point of view he's 29, you could understand why he'd want to play in an international tournament, he won't get many more. Plus having a carrot when recovering from a long term injury must be massive.

Yeah, I totally agree, I just hope he isnt going to be 'quite' fit enough. There is a World Cup next year after all!

Will not be pleasant watching him play for the Dutch if he makes it.
