Deceptively quick when he opens up his gait. Third quickest player on the pitch tonight, behind Mo and Adama. He was only 0.1 km/ hour slower than Adama

Hansen, elegant, yes, superb player. However, Sami always looked more effective. In todays world, VVD looks worlds apart from his peers

Had a bit of a crow about VVD on WhatsApp tonight to my Spurs mate, who replied:

"He's pretty good, better than I thought after I saw Harry tear him a new arsehole at St Mary's, but he's nowhere near as good as Toby"

            Thanks very much for being

Having seen Hansen et al play I put Van Dijk right up there. Just been watching the highlights of his play in that last game and putting that together with the rest of the last couple of seasons he really has it all. Strong against the big lads, quick against the small, defends well, anticipates, good in the air, narrows the angles and slows it up when it's appropriate, and he can set up an attack with precision. He's a magnificent all-rounder, really is. I'd still give the edge to Hansen due to his miraculous tweezer feet, nipping the ball of an opponent's toes like a mantis snatching a ripe aphid from a plum, but it's brilliant to have such players to choose between.

He’s proper fit ain’t he? Might steal my chubby from Alisson.
                    3rd place. Worst champions ever.

Sami more effective? Great player but not in the same class as Hansen.

Our season rests on him staying fit and featuring in every league game. He's that important.

He was incredible but VVD is a better player.

He hasn't won anything yet, so let's park this talk of him being the greatest until this team wins something.
                              Are we winning?

The quality of the footballer isn't determined by what the team wins. He could win nothing, but still be the best in an individual capacity.

According to this theory, Traore is one of our better players historically because he contributed extensively in winning a major trophy.
