The best thing about big Virgil is how he goes about his game.

He doesnt feature often in the running for man of the match, but that is because he is so solid. Thats what you want in a CB, not some guy show boating or drawing attention to himself. Just a solid CB who wins the ball, handles the forward he is up against and marshals the defence.

I'd go as far as to say without him no way would be in the CL Final.

We may have defended poorly v Roma, and I think there are a number of mitigating factors including fatigue for that. But we were brilliant v City.
