Whether VvD is injured or not, I think Pickford should have a lengthy ban coming.

I don't know what the rules are, but that should definitely happen.

And if he is injured, I think the ban should ladybird ask long as the injury.

That seems fair in this case.
    Oh I don't know.

Hmm. Let’s hope it’s just rumours. Certainly don’t imagine Richard Keys would be the first to find out.

They should be forced to keep playing Pickford as punishment

I assume that they are just speculating, but if he is out for any length of time we are ****ed. Matip can't stay fit, Gomez tends to pick up knocks and go through dodgy patches, obviously Fabinho would be filling in a fair bit.

Let's hope he's OK and will be back soon
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

Expect the worst (7 months).....hope for the best (few weeks)

Even with Fab as backup, the thought of Matip and Gomez stating fit for a prolonged period is fanciful at best.

                    Season defining injury.

If he's out for 7 months, the season could realistically be over already unless the other CBs, Gomez in particular, find their best form.

Jan transfer window not too far away. But let’s hope for the best.

It's typical though, always have 4 recognised players in the squad - we gamble one year and bang, injuries. Hopefully Matip and Gomez can hold strong, will be very difficult if either of those are out for any period (assuming van Dijk is out for some period).

There's a huge difference between having 'recognised' players and Virgil. Who could we have signed as merely a backup that could step in until effectively the end of the season without it having a major impact?

If Alysson is not back for a while either. Brace yourself as we will probably need 4 goals to feel safe in any game

The one player we couldn't afford to lose.

Hopefully covid will come to the rescue and void the season.
