So worse grade of ACL injury and operation, no one has mentioned how long he'll be out but it's looking like he's done for the season right?
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

I would say he's done for the season but seems the club are hopeful due to his injury record and strong nature that he can recover quickly, but I'd rather he recovers fully than having any timescale on his return. It's a career threatening injury and players have noticeably found it difficult to return at their level after - looking at Laporte for example. Are we winning?

No, don’t think he’s had any kind of knee injury before.Originally posted by Fredo View PostDidn't he have a similar injury before, albeit less serious? Not 100% sure you lose a yard of pace specifically due to the injury though but I know nothing.
Everyone is different of course, but serious ACL injuries are famously among the most difficult for footballers to make a full recovery from.

And surely the fact he's so big will put further strain on the knee?Originally posted by Pepe79 View PostNo, don’t think he’s had any kind of knee injury before.

He's the one irreplaceable player. This feels so wrong. Proper gutted. There isn't another player out there as good. It will be a massive loss. When you consider how many tight games we won last year with him, unless the whole team improves, without him those tight games will surely not go in our favour. Unless we start scoring 4 every week.Always borrow money from a pessimist. He won’t expect it back. Oscar Wilde
