Didn’t they say that it wasn’t reviewed at the time & they only looked at the offside?
    3rd place. Worst champions ever.

At half time it was reported that they just looked at the offside, by the end of the match they were saying that they looked at a potential red card and decided it wasn't.

I suspect that this is another VAR thing that the club want clarity on...

I don't have a clue whether they looked at the red card or not. But it's crazy that people can look at the VVD and Mane offsides and determine they are a cm or so offside but they can't see that Pickford's challenge is a red card. That is a worse challenge than the Richarlison one so I don't understand the reasoning. Hence the club are fully justified in asking what the **** was going on with VAR

Normally this would be annoying, but, Pickford is such a liability I don’t think this is bad news.

There have been some very strong words against him from ex-pros. I reckon he will be reeling. He seems a bit of an ‘odd’ character anyway so will be interesting to see how this affects him.

Anyone see the video of him delivering a two footer on Dele Alli from a couple of years ago?

Lad is an absolute cunt and I would love to see his knee get smashed to ****. Not even sorry

Also, he badly ****ed up on the Henderson goal - whilst he hasn't had the media attention on him for it, I'm sure he won't forget that in a hurry.

Wish that Mane didn't direct Jota's soft shot wide either, think it'd have either have gone in or he'd have palmed it at Mane's feet.

Yep hopefully this will play on his mind and he screws up more than his usual self. He won't be an Everton fans' hero for long.

**** him. He’s such an imbecile, he’s probably forgotten he even played a game on Saturday.

I don’t care about a retrospective ban, it doesn’t help us.
It’s just mad that the FA won’t do anything in these cases because their officials already ****ed up dealing with it properly at the time.

So a professional referee (I assume it's a professional referee) reviewed the incident and found there was no dangerous play involved? ****ing ridiculous. There should be a written explanation from these clueless tits as to why it was deemed not dangerous/reckless; a "the incident was reviewed' statement is total ****ing nonsense.

They've made a mistake and covered it the best they can.

It was dangerous play. The guy is out for 6 months.

Nothing we can do about it, so energy is best aimed at positives. Like getting a chance for Fab and Gomez to run the show this season.
                            *Except Michael, who died.

I don't care about Pickford getting banned, it doesn't change anything. Aside from being pissed off that it happened the other thing that annoys me is how **** the system is. However you look at that it's a red card, it's late, it's high, it's two footed, it's studs up, out of control and it's a scissor tackle, every pundit and former player that I've seen comment on it says it's a red card, former refs say it's a red card, how did the dickhead looking at it in the VAR box not see that? I can understand that the ref on the pitch might not have seen how bad it was, but that's what VAR is there for! It's a worse challenge that the Richarlison one which is a clear red card. I can't believe that anyone who is checking that for a red card can say that it isn't a red card.

The only thing that makes any sense is if they didn't check that for a red card because the VAR official didn't know the rules because of the offside, this was the suggestion at half time in the game and suddenly after the game this view is changed and the supposedly had checked for a red card, it smacks of PGMOL going into cover up / protection mode and the comments today about not taking further action because VAR looked at it are the next step in this.

There is a lack of accountability here that needs addressing, and the club are right to request explanations about what the hell happened, it will be interesting to see if / how PGMOL respond...
