It might be telling to see if he is included in the league squad or removed
I’ve seen a few physios stating that all of this is normal and in fact he would have been doing ball work a while back. The club are being strategic when he releases these as they are designed to give us a boost
Super human or not the recovery time for these is usually a season and then factor in training and match time. I suspect pre season is his target and then back for next yearComment

Do you mean the CL squad? I don't see why we would need to change the league squad.
On the CL it seems we only registered 24 players in the main squad (not sure why), the notable omission as things have turned out has been Nat Phillips, presumably as he is club trained we can add him to make up the numbers to 25 (or we could replace Harvey Elliott who was named and obviously can't play). It will only be an issue if we sign someone who is a non-association trained player that we have a decision to make we currently have the maximum 17 non association trained players that we can name and obviously VVD is one of them.

Unless I'm mistaken he is still only doing straight line work. Yes, it's encouraging but he still has to bring in lateral movements and that'll a big step in his recovery and will tell us a lot more. A February return is ridiculous
, after cutting movements he'll have to then train with contact and build sharpnesss.

I think the title and top four will be pretty much decided by the time VvD and Gomez are match fit again. I’m flabbergasted as to why we have not brought in cover, doesn’t have to be the best CB in the world, just a CB with first team experience who Klopp can work with.Comment

We have to put in 25 players - hence why Grujic left as he did t make the squad. If VVD isn’t going to play then why have him in the squad - same for Gomez and also about Champions League

I forgot about the 25 man squad rules for the PL
But the principle is the same, only up to 17 non association trained players are allowed out of the 25 man squad of players over 21. Unless we bring in another non association trained player there isn't an issue, the players under 21 can still play as they are registered on the youth list or whatever it's called, and as long as no one is being kept out of the squad (which they aren't at present) nothing needs to change. If we feel VVD and/or Gomez might be back before the end of the season they may as well stay on the list as they could play when they come back, if we take them off they can't.

This is the bit I am interested in - it would mean that there might be a chance.......<Insert Lloyd gif>I forgot about the 25 man squad rules for the PL

I should actually try to better explain the point I was trying to make yesterday, which was miscontrued as "trying to sound as an oracle" by Tippex.
"I think" that Virgil's injury might not have been as bad as a clear ACL injury as there hasn't been a lot of details about the injury released by the club. Also, with the advances of science nowadays, "I" would not be surprised if he would recover from a serious injury faster than what the science would have allowed a few years ago.
Might be clutching at straws, but I would choose to believe in this rather than the bleak outlook that he won't be able to play before April or May.Are we winning?Comment

But it makes no sense to take them out unless there is someone else to put in, so, even if there is no chance of them playing it costs nothing to keep them in so I don't think it tells you anything. The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.Comment

I ****ed up my wrist a few months ago. No idea how (...)
It has taken about 4 months and it has still not healed 100%. I only notice it when I twist or move it to the extreme.
During that time I have still had reasonable use of it, but putting too much pressure or stress would be quite painful. Press ups or weights were impossible
I dont think you simply speed up recovery using "medical science", other than a good diet and strengthening exercises. Andctgere is probably a fine line between excercising while healing and straining the tendons/muscles.
I think we need to be patient, and be thankful Fab has been the absolute dogs bollocks. In the beginning, Fowler created the Heaven and the Earth.Comment

Yeah but the level of care someone like Virgil would get would be different to what you would get, no offence.I ****ed up my wrist a few months ago. No idea how (...)
