I always thought Virg was perfect for us on paper, but when linked with Mane, I made a similar argument about getting Andre Ayew for a fraction of the price.
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

13m is a fair whack on a child though

            Eh

When we bought him from Southampton for 75m, celtic got 7.5m due to a 10% sell on clause.

Michael Owen asks the sort of questions that a 10 year would be expected to come up with.
I don't hate people. I just feel better when they aren't around.

"Virgil - you wear red. Is that your favourite colour?"

I don't usually watch post match chat but I did last night. I'd rather listen to Michael Owen than those tw*ts Ferdinand and Savage. I thought the way they treated Peter Walton - laughing at him, mocking him, talking over him and just being incredibly obtuse was really **** and I wanted him to tell them to **** off. It really irritated me. They're bullies

Owen is better than those two, yeah. Ferdinand gets worse and worse, after a relatively (ish) promising start to his punditry career.

It's as if they get relaxed and allow the real personality out. It was the same with Carragher and Neville they both started off well in punditry and its as if once there's a bit of praise given about their "insights" the ego comes through and well you get what you see from them.

Definitely agree Carra has made his punditry more of a 'lads down the pub on a Saturday night' type banter now - when he first started his insights were sharp and on the money. He's more lad culture now than pundit.

Neville is a whinger, especially when Utd lose so long may that continue. I don't mind him as a pundit on other games though... he's quite balanced apart from MUFC/LFC commentary.
