An impressive new mural celebrating Liverpool captain Virgil van Dijk has been unveiled in Anfield. The Dutchman has been commemorated on Coningsby Road, just off Anfield Road and opposite the iconic Robbie Fowler tribute.

I hate the way players do that when they win things - just looks weird to me!

I thought Virgil was immense tonight.

                That was a war.

Win so many headers, it was like watching a rugby team playing for territory

Yep, long throws either side and corners. A total bombardment.

Never rattled never loses it. Even after the foul by Gordon he keeps his cool.

Such a good leader and brilliant player. Let’s hope he keeps going for many more years.

Yeah that challenge from Gordon could have been so much worse for us. He needs to educate Kerkez though as he’s a weak link at present & on the other side we’ve got Calamity Konate to worry about too.

He’s like one of those players you’d edit the stats of in the old days of champ manager. He’s not real.
