But he can't afford that nonchalance anymore.. he needs to work harder at it and be more focused.

Well we are going to need to find it, regardless of what VVD's position in the squad might be next year. And attracting the right players as well as funding them will be a problem if we don't make the CL

It happens, ths great ones can fall off the wagon. Liverpool just doesn't replace them as fast a FergieScum did. Our fans also get caught up in nostalgia and demand our legends stay on new contracts even when they get to 50 years old and there are signs of their forms dipping. But the emotional nature of our fan base clouds the judgment.

This is the thing. Without a proper DM, there is no solution. Slot doesnt want Grav to stay back and protect so the defensive unit is very lose. I dont think the fullbacks know what they should be doing either.

Under Slot this season, it looks like the entire team is confused. Injuries and individual errors aren't Slots fault but no long term plan, no plan b, no balance, not trusting your squad and the team having zero identity and being easy to play against is Slots fault.

So the quick route to defensive stability is to force Grav to play as a DM. That would cost us nothing to try. Slot won’t do that tho or bench Gakpo, or give Rio or Ramsay a chance.

Yesterday it seemed to be MacAllister who was dropping into defence.

I think a different manager could make this squad competitive without too many additions. Things could be very different in terms of depth of squad with everyone back fit in August.
