Virgil is definitely on the way downhill but for me the set up of the team should be adapted accordingly to be more effective. In midfield, we are wider open than Bonnie Blues legs. Have been all season. Carragher called it out on the first league game of the season and slot basically responded that our high risk strategy was going to pay dividends throughout a season. Stevie Wonder could see that its not going to get better.
Both virgil and konate have made loads of mistakes this season but they have been super exposed. The team needs to set up with 2 central midfielders who will protect the defense and transition play through the full backs and attacking midfield. For me this is obviously the way to give us throughout best chance of success with the players we have. MacAllister and Gravenberch sit deep and solid ffs.Comment

Whatever is going on, nobody is enjoying it, fans, nor players. It’s been ****e since the end of last season. To be fair to our CB's they are not getting a lot of help, be it from midfield or the fullbacks, just imagine to number of different permutations at the back this season
We've had at right back:
Gomez
Frimpong
Bradley
Szobo
Curtis
All three goalkeepers have played.
Kerkez and Robbo of course.
And I think Konate, VDD, Gomez, Leoni and Robbo have all played at CB. Maybe Gravenberch too and Endo?* The above is posted in my opinion. Feel free to disagree.Comment
