    Manchester City (H) Build Up

    Kick off: Sunday 4pm UK

Liverpool are unbeaten in their last 14 Premier League home games against Man City (W10 D4, since a 1-2 loss in May 2003), winning the last four in a row.

Manchester City won the reverse fixture 5-0 back in September – they’ve not done the league double against Liverpool in over 80 years, since the 1936-37 campaign that saw them win the first of their four top-flight titles.

The Reds have conceded just four goals in their last 13 Premier League home games (W7 D6 L0), keeping nine clean sheets in that time.

Liverpool haven’t won four Premier League games in a row since December 2016 – the fourth game of which was a home win against Manchester City.

Since Klopp took charge of Liverpool in October 2015, the Reds have won more points in Premier League games between the ‘big six’ than any other side (39). They also have more wins (9), fewer defeats (3) and more goals (40) than anyone else in these fixtures.

Mohamed Salah has been involved in 22 goals in his opening 21 Premier League games for Liverpool (17 goals, 5 assists); only two players have ever been involved in more in their opening 21 Premier League games for a club – Andy Cole at Newcastle and Dwight Yorke at Manchester United (23 each).

Sergio Aguero has scored more Premier League goals against Liverpool than any other Man City player (6 in 11 games). However, the Argentine is yet to score in five visits to Anfield in the PL.

Massive game this! Forgetting Coutinho, the was squad has some huge momentum and Mane seems to be starting to find some consistency

We are looking so solid at the back conceding very few goals, with VVD in this should only get better.

The real question is surely who starts in the midfield 3, to deal with KdB and co. I think that line up is spot on though Shag. I wonder if we see Firmino playing even deeper than normal just to shadow KdB when he comes deep, with Salah and Mane staying high and wide to keep their fullbacks busy.

Ox or Lallana is my biggest dilemma. Gini usually very good in these games so gets in for me.

Yep I’d expect to see the same.

Only viable alternatives I’d consider are TAA for Gomez & Milner for Ox.
Me, I’m either planning a holiday or I’m on one.

Completely agree about Gini starting. He loves he big games at home. And as we have seen previously, Lallana always needs a while to get going again after injury, so he probably will be off the bench for Ox.

I think your team is correct, Lallana looks like he's still gaining his fitness, 20 minutes at the end will be fine for him. Ox has another chance to step up.

Totally agree with the Ox calls ahead of Lallana. Also gives him a chance to stake a claim for the CM role, and what a game to do it in.

I'd alway have TAA ahead of Gomez

best not to rush Lallana too after a long lay off.

Either or for me. Happy with both of them to be honest.

If there were any doubts Ox over Lallana watch the Everton game again. It'll take Lallana a while before he'd be up to the pace of this game IMO.

I agree with Shaggy on the line up.

Mig stands out like a sore thumb though, just imagine if that read Oblak, Allison or Gulli..
