I think the rule if a defender tries to block a ball to an offside player, they are no longer offside is a joke, why should being offside become an advantage?

A think a draw was fair, we should have probably scored more than 1 in the first half and felt we might rue those decisions. The second half they dominated the ball and there was chasms in our midfield that they could thread the ball through, I know Klopp is anti DM but imagine a Mascher shoring things up in there would be great. We also couldn’t keep the ball second half and restored to thumping it and inviting pressure back on, not sure if it was tiredness but I haven’t seen us like that in a long time.

The pens - first one looked like a pen real time but less of a pen on the replay. Dejan though, how many times had he fresh aired the ball that have cost us.....Christ Jurgen why pick him. The second one didn’t look it in real time but looked like one on second viewing. We just couldn’t hold on and pull away from Spurs who look strong and have a lot of players coming back from fitness adding t9 their first 11 tonight - Toby A, Rose, Aurier, Moura, Wanyama......they’ll be hard to stop so we need to be at it.

In terms of individual performances probably Karius’s best for us, saved pen and some good saves but I can’t warm to him. He just doesn’t seem like a GK and looks surprised when he makes a save. I think he could have dine better than the punch he made for the Wanyama goal. Lovren was his usual self which isn’t good enough. Midfield was anonymous in the second half and Mane looks off it...... badly.

Subs - our squad is thin......Gini - meh and Ox lacks subtly, he butchered a few easy through balls but he is a good squad player.

Top four will be hard but Salah might get us there - his second goal was ridiculous!
****ing Sevilla at home springs to mind. I know today's ball sprung up a little but ffs, that's Sunday League stuff.

Lamella peno was a blatant dive all day long, can’t believe it’s even being debated on here.

My Spurs mate - one of the most rabidly one eyed and biased mother****ers you'd ever meet - has APOLOGISED to me for "a blatant dive". That is truly saying something.

It’s mental it’s being discussed - it’s a free ball, lamella makes zero attempt to play/control the ball, jumps into VVD (who’s completely pulled out) and then goes down like he’s been ****ing poleaxed !

We were really bad. Thank god Huddersfield rolled over.

There was one moment in the 2nd half when you routinely expect Bobby to be chasing the fella down and he just strolled back, doing nothing. On about 60 mins maybe. Most unlike him. For all our scintillating pressing first half, and Mo's two goals, I agree with Chris that, as a trio, that was one of their worst displays of the season. Mad really when Mo got two massive and brilliant goals.

This type of thing is exactly why people were dismayed at us not buying attacking reinforcement in the window. Salah, Mane and Firmino will tire, get injured and have off games. The standard of quality coming off bench is what worries me.

Mane had been industrious too, moreso than Ox has been lately. Klopp could've brought Solanke on to allow Mane and Salah to drop deeper in order to collect the ball and walk it forward. When we congested midfield we snuffed them out, seems reasonable to congest it even more and leave one up front rather than change the defensive system and give the centre backs another thing to think about
you had me at taking hendo off

nah, agree with what you said.
klopp needs to have a alternative that we can quickly and seamlessly fall back to that helps congest the field and better support or midfield and close the lines between midfield and defence.
absorb the pressure and pressing for a few minutes, then hit them on the counter again.

FFS, we should have won that comfortably but for some disgraceful refereeing in the end.

It was obvious that Lamela backed into VVD, another ****e decision from the officials.

i dont blame klopp for taking off who he did, or even for who he brought on, but he should have repositioned them to better protect the midfield.
our players were knackered and the new boys came on the pitch and went to stand in front of the play and didnt get involved at all...

Two points ahead and they have to play Arsenal at home next.

They still have to play Arsenal, Chelsea and City. Our big ones are Man Utd and Chelsea. We'll need that two point advantage!

Surely in the absence of him seeing a touch he must give offside.

I was shouting that at the TV too. Officials are only supposed to give what they see so I didn't understand why he wasn't flagged
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

Looking at the table Spurs have got Arsenal next, then due to League Cup Final Arsenal don’t play in League again until they play City on the first of March.

We play Southampton away (not a happy hunting ground) and West Ham at home. If results go our way (draw in Spurs Arse us win both) we could be 10 points clear of Arsenal before they kick off v City in the League., and 4 clear of Spurs.
