Lamela seemed to bust a gut to get to VVD and not the ball. It was his aim/goal.

I don't really think that you can blame the officials for awarding the penalties on grounds of contact or non contact. Under the current system the Kane one was always going to be given. The second one from where the linesman is standing and at full speed you can again see why it's given. Lamela is totally looking for it he has no intention of anything else which is what pisses me off. But I think you need a second look to determine that.

Offsides the second one is never going to be given because it is so tight. The first one in all fairness to the linesman he has seen Kane in the offside position. My problem with that one is two fold firstly the offside rule in this context is stupid, secondly the process from the referee is wrong if neither him nor the linesman saw Lovren touch it then he can only give the offside.
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

Same with that cunt Everton striker that purposely ran into Lovren.

Moss and that cunt of a linesman get another Premier League game this weekend. Hopefully one of them pisses off some blues and gets in to a pickle on their way out after the game.

Purely academic as he was offside when the ball was played. As Clattenberg said, if VAR had been used in that match the two penalties would not have been given.

He's not offside when the ball is played though, he's in an offside position which is different. That's why when a ball is played to someone in an offside position, the whistle doesn't go until that player receives the ball or challenges for it. Thems the rules. If Lovren boots it into the net, it's an own goal, not offside.

Two Spurs fans apologised to me at work today ffs

In reality, what is Lovren to do then??? Not touch the ball and assume that the bent-as-**** lino is going to do his job???

We got ****ed right in the bumhole from Moss and that prick fish-clenching cunt of a linesman.....

Aye. Forces Lovren into playing the ball so is 100% interfering with play. Can't risk leaving it and hoping lino gets it right

He tried to clear it, which makes the back pass unitnetional (If the keep had picked the ball up was it a back pass?)

I think the position Keane was in also made it off side for impeding the keeper, whether he's otherwise active or not.

Anyway they missed that Penalty so all a bit moot.

As for Lamela running into VVD's withdrawn knee.....? Soft but seen them given, if you make contact and don't get the ball there's always a risk.

Yeah but vvd was on his way to making contact before numbnuts Lamela through himself in the way. Seems really harsh and stupid, Lamela had no chance or intention of getting the ball

                              quite right.

look at how the rule is interpreted when an attacker is running into the box. does he have the ball at his feet, is it under control or running away from him.

lamella didnt even look at the ball or go near it, he just turned and jumped sideways into vvd to make contact with no thought of playing the ball.

Or, maybe Lamella was just putting his body between defender and ball, as you do, in order to shoot or whatnot. And it just so happened that he was tapped and made a meal of it?
