He played a number of forward passes (perhaps not verticals) and got stuck in but most of all, he switched play effortlessly, never lost the ball and allowed us to move freely around the pitch which ultimately led to gaps for us to exploit.Originally posted by brightred View PostCity are out of reach...come on Chelsea
Can't believe the praise Henderson got from pundits. Was sideways all the first half mostly and improved a bit second half. Yet Danny and the boys are saying how great he is!?Was muß, das muß.

He was very good considering he hasn't played a lot lately. It's crucial that we keep the ball so there is nothing wrong with sideways or simple passes. You cannot play with a high tempo all the time.Originally posted by brightred View PostCity are out of reach...come on Chelsea

Thought he did ok too. He never shirks responsibility and always looking to make something happen, even if it doesn't come off.Originally posted by dom9 View PostAnd Can wasn't awful. He wasn't fantastic either, but he wasn't awful.
Hope he stays. If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

Another couple of performances like this perhaps wouldn't be a bad thing. Crowd normally gets anxious when we are struggling to break a side down, which puts pressure on the players. A few more patient, hard fought wins and maybe this will no longer be the case. Opposition teams will maybe be more wary too and not start thinking they can take something from the game if they can contain us for first 30 mins.
Who's the next **** team we face that won't want to attack? How could I forget, Jose up next. Perfect! If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

You're right about the anxious crowd, but I wasn't nervous watching it. I can see the patterns of play that we're trying. It's different even from the start of the season. Our pressing is so much better as well.
I don't know, but watching it all, it's like we've gone up another notch in our development.

I reckon it's since we started being more compact in defence and not countering at every opportunity.Originally posted by Phoenix07 View PostYou're right about the anxious crowd, but I wasn't nervous watching it. We are definitely evolving as a team. West Ham and Newcastle both turned out comfortable wins, but both performances were very different than the majority of wins we've seen under Klopp. VVD has made a massive difference but most of the credit must go to Klopp himself.Originally posted by Phoenix07 View PostYou're right about the anxious crowd, but I wasn't nervous watching it.
