I've only just seen the draw. I'm not impressed. Doubt City are either though tbh.

What give me hope is that we have beaten City already and we were dominating in the other game before Mane got sent off. They come out and play, it's exactly the team we play well against. Someone like Juve IMO would have been a nightmare for us. In saying that they are a top class side, well capable of beating anyone of their day.

We have the derby in between the legs but they have the mancs and can wrap the league up against United. Can you imagine the mancs having to give them the guard of honour at the Etihad... humiliating. City would love that and they have the squad to pull it off.

Very difficult fixture for us but you can be guarantee when they got the draw they thought ffs Anfield again. We could have been 5 or 6 up at one stage. If you want to win top trophies, you have to beat the top clubs. Bayern & Barca will sail through, Madrid will have a tough one against Juve but I think will beat them.

Would have loved to get Roma or Sevilla but we all knew that was never going to happen, Liverpool don't do things easy.

It's hard to see how anything tips Istanbul to be honest, 3 down at half time to one of the best club sides in history (Dida, Cafu, Maldini, Stam, Nesta, Pirlo, Gattuso, Seedorf, Kaka, Crespo and Sheva).

Just hope for an explosive start to the home leg, rack up a 3 goal cushion and play ultra safe in the away leg.

Home tie first is always **** as well. Quite possibly the worst we could've got. But then there are three other teams that could easily knock us out over 2 legs so it was always potentially tough. I'm more concerned about fourth anyway, so 3points v Watford.

V difficult but in 2005 we beat Juve and Chelsea (akin to City?) and we did it with some right dross in the team but we have some dross in our current team also.

the six crazy minutes were proper goose bumps just to remember, but the real difference in that match was our grit and beef, the defend or die doing it attitude. the proudest day.

if the **** hits the fan have we got the depth to play with our backs to the wall like that. a piss poor midfield, wobbly defence...
all we have is the 2nd best attack in the world, but that alone might not be enough to see us through.
