I don't see us going full reserve team and playing youth players I think we'll stick with players who have been involved all season. But given our lack of depth I think some players will have to play. At least one of the CB'S will need to play both if Klavan is still out. Clyne isn't going to be fit to start so I think TAA will have to play some part. Moreno can come in for Robertson. In midfield Henderson plays as he's suspended on Tuesday, I guess Wijnaldum will play not sure about the 3rd player in there possibly Ox as Milner was knackered. Up front no way i'd play Salah. Ings and Solanke should start, as Firmino was brought off and Mane played 90 yesterday I'd probably put Bobby in of the two based on that. But he'll be in for a rough ride given the stuff that happened between him and Holgate in the FA Cup...

Really frustrating to have the Derby as the 3rd game in 6 days between CL quarter finals. It gives them a great chance to end our dominance over them and they would love to put a couple of our players out of the CL game

The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

I think Mignolet will start this one, possibly his last game for us, or second to last if we get past City.

Karius has barely anything to do last night. Would rather he started, plus it’s a good experience for him.

Agree with rest of selection though. Give Milner last 30 for Ox.

Karius, Clyne, Lovren, VVD, Moreno, Henderson, Gini, Milner, Ox, Firmino, Mane
I like this with the exception of Milner, I'd try and rest him a little bit. Maybe a midfield of Hendo, Gini and Ox, with a front three of Ings, Solanke and Mane, with a view to sub Mane off ASAP. Can could come on for Ox as well.

We really need to beef up the squad next summer.

Klopp seems to be mention mental tiredness a lot when it comes to keepers so wouldnt be surprised.

just looking at a team he put out against WBA in his first season when we were in Europe. Bogdan, Flano, Lucas, Skrtel,Brad Smith, Brannagan, Stewart, Allen, Ibe, Ojo, Benteke

For me with Chelsea losing last week this one is a free hit, not going to define our season, next Tuesday will though. We are 2 knocks away with lining up with a defence of TAA Gini Robertson Moreno. **** that. I think Klopp will respect this fixture though

The state of that Bogdan team *shudder*

Yeah we are in good shape in the League, so will be interesting to see what he does. As mentioned momentum is important also.

We do have a commanding lead for Tuesday. Would be a lot worse if we were chasing a result there.

I'm not as complacent as some on here about fourth being in the bag so i want and expect a nearly full team with some players like Salah obviously rested. This isn't a free hit if Chelsea win their game in hand, go on a run in their easy fixtures and beat us there'd be a one point gap (if we won our other games). A lot can still happen in six games and we were hardly convincing against Palace.

the fbs ideally I would rest up as they cover more grass than anyone, CBs best to play them as much as possible, the goalkeeper needs as many games as possible, Hendo obviously if he is fit, Ox and Gini both looked ok coming off. I would rest Bobby and Salah, I think Mane needs as many games as possible.

I think the whole what if they get injured angle is a nonsense, that can happen at any time including training. More important would be there actual current fitness levels, recovery etc.

4th is not in the bag nor is the Semi's of the CL both still very much need to be nailed down. We will have to come at City with the same level of intensity at their place and be just as up for it, because if you give them a sniff they will be all ****ing over us next week.

That was my thinking last night as well.

Also, no one has mentioned the prospect of winning the Derby, securing fourth and then being able to rest players for the Semi and Final (if we reach those stages). A win on Saturday would be great, it certainly shouldn't be treated as a free hit.

Yeah, you're right. We are maybe looking at Mane, Firmino and Ings/Ox?

Do we think City will play their full side vs United? It would be huge for them to win the league at Old Trafford, would actually be hilarious but I think Pep will rest all his big names to be fresh for our game.
