Did say he would pick a team to win the game though, which wasn't a bombshell. But i reckon the line up will be strong considering injuries.

Not far off, though Brewster is out till next season.

I'd probably give Woodburn a start, though might be worth starting strong and bringing Mane and Bobby off once we're a few goals to the good.

        ------------------Mignolet
        Clyne-----Lovren-------Masterson----Moreno
        -------------------Hendo
        --------Wijnaldum-------Jones
        ----Ings---------Solanke------Mane

Play Klavan if he is fit, give Mane 45 mins and swap with Bobby.

This is such a weird derby. Everton fans are treating it like the biggest game of their lives, and we just seem to be seeing it as a match that's in the way of the real stuff.

I'm more intrigued about the local supporters really, and how they feel about it, because everything seems to be focused on the second leg against City.

Need to be careful. If we drop points here and Chelsea beat us, they'll be breathing down our necks. The attackers need a rest, but so do the midfield.

                  Mignolet as play maker?

Team has to be based on who is available and who isn't for this game and the city game

Gomez, Matip and Lallana and Can are all out
Salah and Klavan are questionable (Physio room has both as needing late fitness tests tomorrow)
Clyne I'm not sure is fit to start a game
                      Henderson is suspended for City

Assuming that for the City game we are going with:
Karius, TAA, Lovren, VVD, Robertson, Milner, Wijnaldum, Ox, Mane, Firmino, Salah

And that we want to rest outfield players this weekend the only other senior players available for Everton are: Mignolet, Moreno, Henderson, Ings, Solanke, Woodburn and kids. There is no point in resting Karius so best case scenario would resting the front 3 but 2 of the midfield 3 and 3 of the back 4 for the City game will need to play against Everton

                        Klavan

Klopp rotated Mignolet in the league earlier this season and said "Keepers fatigue too", that was my logic, don't want even a small chance of Mignolet playing against City.

Back 3 with Clyne and Milner as wingbacks or CB at fullback? I would have thought Moreno would have come in

Back three. Easy answer to midfield numbers game. Push the very capable full backs up, in this case Clyne and Milner but it may be TAA and Robertson vs City.

No way Moreno doesn't play, suspect Millie at left wing back is a red herring
